Wireless alarms: Wireless alarms have hidden sensors that connect to a main control panel using radio waves. The control panel sends signals out of the house using a mobile phone network.
Wireless alarms can sometimes offer more functionality than wired alarms. For example, thanks to their use of mobile networks, it can be possible to configure some wireless systems to send the homeowner a text message when someone enters the house. This is perfect for parents who want to be sure their children have arrived home safely.
It is also much easier to add new sensors to a wireless system than a wired one, meaning that in terms of extra features, wireless alarms do have a slight edge.
